Palm Beach County ACS 9-Ball League
Averages/Handicaps. Individual averages are calculated on a 100-point system: total points divided by the number of individual games played. The minimum handicap is 35.
The team with the highest total team average gives the lower team the difference between the two team’s averages, not to exceed 7 points per round.
Scoring. A set consists of three games. The first and second games in the set are worth three points each. The third game is worth four points. Winning all three games equals a score of 10 -- (3 + 3 + 4). Winning the first two games results in a score of 6 to 4, winning the first game only would be a score of 3 to 7, etc. A perfect score for an individual player for the night is 40.
The team with the highest total points for the night, including the handicap, wins an extra round.
Ranking. Teams are ranked by the number of rounds won. Any tie will be decided by the number of individual games won.
Rules. Texas Express rules apply, excluding the three-foul rule.
Local Rules. Visiting team breaks first game, first round. Loser breaks second game. Winner breaks third game. Rack your own balls. If the players cannot resolve a dispute, then re-rack.
